Roles and Responsibilities

1. Lead architecture, implementation, and optimization of web applications using Next.js (React 18, App Router, ISR, Turbopack).
2. Develop pixel-perfect, accessible user interfaces with Tailwind CSS and modern CSS features like Grid and Container Queries.
3. Integrate and extend Shopify Storefront & Admin APIs to manage catalog, cart, checkout, and subscription flows.
4. Connect headless CMS platforms (e.g., Sanity, Contentful) to power dynamic marketing and blog content.
5. Optimize web performance to achieve Lighthouse 90+, CLS < 0.1, TTFB < 100 ms, and follow SEO best practices.
6. Own and manage testing frameworks (Jest, Playwright) and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) to ensure zero-downtime deployments.
7. Mentor and support mid-level developers, lead code reviews, and advocate for front-end best practices.
8. Work cross-functionally with Design, Product, and Backend teams in a fast-paced Agile environment (2-week sprints).

Desired Candidate

1. 7+ years of front-end development experience, including 3+ years with Next.js and TypeScript.
2. Proven delivery of scalable, high-traffic e-commerce features (checkout, cart, payments, A/B tests) using Shopify or other headless commerce platforms.
3. Advanced proficiency in Tailwind CSS, including building and documenting design systems.
4. Strong understanding of GraphQL, REST API integrations, browser internals, and performance tuning.
5. Experience integrating headless CMS tools like Sanity, Contentful, or Strapi into React front ends.
6. Strong testing background (unit, integration, E2E) and hands-on experience with tools like LaunchDarkly or VWO for feature flags and experimentation.
7. Comfortable working fully remote from India with a minimum of 4 hours overlap with US Eastern Time (UTC-4/-5).
